October - "Panning" Definition: An image that has captured the tracking of movement. The subject should be against a blurred background, conveying a sense of movement to emphasise speed e.g. a vehicle, animal or bird. Uploads close 7 September 2026 (11.45pm).
August Competition - "Structure of" Definition: The arrangement of, and relations between, the parts of something complex, or something constructed from several parts. The subject may be a built structure, such as a bridge or building, or might demonstrate the structure of a natural or man-made object. Uploads close 6 July 2026 (11.45pm).
June - "Odds" Definition: An image capturing objects of an uneven number, e.g. 3 birds, 9 flowers, etc. Composition is a key element. Uploads close 4 May 2026 (11.45pm).
April - "Love Is" Definition: An image that evokes an emotional response characterised by intimacy, passion, commitment, care, affection, closeness, protectiveness, attraction or admiration from an animal or human. Uploads close 2 March 2026 (11.45pm).
