Competition Definitions
April Competition – Water
The image must contain water in any of it’s many forms. It’s presence and dynamic form needs to be obvious within the image. e.g. fog, mist, snow, ice, condensation, water droplets, ocean, rivers etc Uploads close 3 March.
June Competition – Macro
Macro photography involves photographing subjects at a 1:1 magnification ratio or higher. The image should capture subjects at a very close range, with a high level of detail, to make them appear larger than life. The goal being to reveal intricate details (that might not be visible to the naked eye) of any everyday item such as insects, flowers, droplets of water or textures etc. Uploads close 5 May.
August Competition – Double Exposure
A photograph that combines any two different images into one frame, creating a surreal or artist effect. The technique can be achieved in camera or via digital post processing. Uploads close 7 July
October Competition – Flora or Fauna
The photograph should capture a plant/plants (flora) or an animal/animals (fauna) in any environment. The subject needs to be the main centre of interest. Uploads close 1 September
End Of Year Images
We would love to see the best you have produced throughout the year. Please select up to two of your best EDPI and two of your best Prints that have been submitted to any competition or activity in the club during the year. You can make adjustments/enhancements to these images from when they were first submitted based on any suggestions from our judges, or feedback from club members such as in the Cluster image groups.
