Feb 2025 – Blue Lotus Gardens

On Saturday 15th February, 9 brave souls faced the dubious weather and ventured over to the Blue Lotus Gardens near Warburton.
The Gardens span a large area covered in bush, ponds and some green houses, filled with all type of plants, but specialising in Lotus flowers.
These stunning flowers were struggling to bloom in the cold weather, but we had some luck on our side as we were able to photo-graph some stunning flowers in between the bouts of rain. Thankfully the Gardens have lots of place to wait out the rain but even then, some of us still ventured out to get our shots. Bracing an umbrella and a camera could prove difficult at times! But we prevailed!!

A lovely lunch at mid day to warm up was a great option, while we all had a taste of the Lotus Root Chips that they sell there. Some great company and conversation was also had.

Despite the weather we had a wonderful day, and the last of us left after 3pm! Of course, the weather only helped to inspire us with some wa-ter shots – so that was a bonus. Never let the weather hold you back, unless its dangerous of course.
